Ok, I just wanted to get a first post out here. And because I haven’t been able to make a clear content strategy yet, I am starting with the most basic but also the most important thing.
Never, ever give up.
Well, just saying that might not really help. I know, I have been there. It’s cool when someone is inspiring you and you can feed of there energy. But, when reality sets in again it’s a very different situation. That is why I want to give you some reasons that go deeper than just inspirational energy. Not saying that is not valuable. I just think you need both.
So why should you never give up?
Because you never know what is around the corner
Really, do you know what is going to happen next week? Or next month? Even people who get paid huge sums to predict the future on Wall street have no idea what’s going to happen. The only reason you could give up is because you don’t like what you see in the future. You might think that it will never get better. But how do you really know that? And if you agree that you can’t know that, then why would you base your most important decision on it?
Because appearances and expectations are often deceiving
This ties in with the point before. Have you ever been wrong? Have you ever expected something that turned out completely different?
I think pretty much everyone would agree with that. And if you agree, you can’t deny that that means your current expectation could be wrong too. Right?
And if it could be wrong, then see the previous reason.
Because what else are you going to do?
Ha, this one really blew my mind when I really thought it through.
Whenever you feel like giving up, think about what you are going to do then. Are you just going to sit and stare at a wall? Stay in bed all day?
Once you think it through you will realize that you don’t really want to “give up”. What you want is for things to be different. And to have that happen you need to take action. Now you could decide to rest for a bit, or try to get a different perspective, that is totally OK. And praying is taking action too.
But giving up is not.
