This Hopi Cancer Awareness Conference will be held at the Second Mesa Day School to bring awareness and information on all health disparities in cancer. There will be several break out educational sessions along with oral cancer screening conducted by the NAU dental hygiene program in conjunction with the Hopi Cancer Support Services. There are invited guest speakers, physicians, along with door prizes to make the event exciting and of course food.

The walk begins at 9:00 am on Apri 28th, 2012 at the First Tennessee Pavilion in Chattanooga, Tennessee. A great way to really get involved is to start your own fundraising page and/or create a team!

Walk amidst glorious oak trees, funky antique and craft shops, designer boutiques and pictorial greenbelts while witnessing Houston’s skyline, which showcases some of the best modern architecture around. This event takes place on a beautiful spring weekend April 21-22, 2012.
One can walk up to 26.2 miles on Saturday, and 13.1 miles on Sunday all so that women and men can get the medical care they need regardless of their ability to pay, and leading research teams can receive vital support in their ongoing search for a cure.

Please join Elizabeth Sikon, an oral cancer survivor, for the 2nd Annual San Antonio Oral Cancer Walk taking place on Saturday, April 14th, 2012 starting at 8:00 am in the beautiful wooded park of O.P. Schnabel.
The purpose of this walk is to raise awareness of oral cancer and the importance of its early detection and prevention by walking throughout the park trails (approximately 3 miles). As well as giving the communities an opportunity to have a free oral cancer screening that are conducted by trained dentists.

The American Cancer Society Relay For Life is a community event whose main purpose is to raise cancer awareness and funds. At the event, participants will celebrate those who have battled cancer, remember loved ones lost to the disease, and fight back against cancer. Because cancer never sleeps, Relay For Life is an overnight event and at least one member from each team should be on the track at all times.

On Sunday, March 11, 2012, Jill’s Legacy and the Bonnie J. Addario Lung Cancer Foundation will host the third annual “JILL’S LEGACY JOG FOR JILL BERKELEY”. Last year, over 1,200 students participated to raise funds and increase Lung Cancer awareness.
