Our Mission

CancerForward™ is a nonprofit organization dedicated to connecting, educating and sharing information among cancer survivors, empowering them to move forward with their lives. By providing a virtual venue, we support cancer patients, their friends, family and caregivers – all considered survivors – from the time of diagnosis, through treatment and beyond.

We offer guidance on cancer rehabilitation – the process of attaining the highest levels of physical, practical and emotional well being – with articles by leading oncologists and rehabilitation experts as well as a library of information from more than 450 cancer-related organizations. We provide a forum where survivors – regardless of age, cancer type, finances or geography – can connect and share. And CancerForward provides support to healthcare and other community-based organizations to expand local cancer survivorship research and programs.

Though every case is unique, every individual facing a cancer diagnosis encounters challenges. CancerForward is here to help survivors deal with these challenges, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, worldwide.

Cancer affects us all. In the United States alone, almost 14 million people are living with disease, more than 28 million worldwide. Three of four families in the U.S. have at least one member dealing with cancer – and all of the practical and emotional issues that come with the illness.
